People love to shop. When choosing things for their home they want to see it, touch it and imagine what it will look like in their home. Our showroom gives your furniture and home décor great exposure to potential buyers from all over the St. Louis and St. Charles area. We have frequent out of state customers as well.

We offer our consignors the safest, most convenient and logical way to sell their favorite pieces of furniture that they can no longer use. You don’t need to be concerned with strangers in your home, waiting for no-shows, on-line scams or ridiculously low offers.

Calisa offers “priority service” to consignors selling their homes. We understand that the period between a contract and closing is sometime quite short and will do everything reasonable possible to have your furniture out of your house to meet your deadlines.

Pricing

Our pricing is based on many different factors including manufacturer, condition, style, original sale price and current demand. Any historical information that you have on the piece is also helpful. We also factor in our experience with the sale of similar pieces in the past.

All sales are final. All furniture and home décor is non-returnable as the merchandise does not belong to Calisa. Our consignors appreciate that fact that their items will not be returned damaged or otherwise unsellable. Please inspect your item carefully before making your purchase.

Evaluation

If you have an item you are interested in consigning, stop by, call or e-mail us to schedule a convenient time to bring your smaller items into our shop. For larger furniture items it is best to e-mail a photo or bring your camera in for pre-approval. If you have an entire house or storage area of furniture arrangements can be made for Calisa to come to your place to view your larger items.

Calisa accepts only furniture and home décor that are in like new condition and of a good quality construction. Items must have minimal wear and is of a style that would appeal to today’s buyer.

We do not have any facilities for cleaning or repair. Everything is sold in an “as is” condition. All items are priced to reflect the item’s condition. It is to your benefit to enhance the overall look of your items before you bring them in to be consigned.

Consignment Terms

• 90 day consignment contract.
• Items cannot be removed by the consignor until the consignment period has ended.
• Calisa pays the consignor 50% of the item’s sale price over $100.00 and 40% of the item’s sale price at or below $100.00.
• At 120 days the initial consignment period will expire. Extended agreements can be made on larger items or for consignors moving out of state.
• All expired items must be picked up within 5 days or will become the property of Calisa.
• One courtesy e-mail reminder will be sent at the end of the consignment period.
• Commission checks are issued once a month and can be picked up at any time. It is recommended that you call ahead to have a check ready. Store credit can be used at any time. If you are moving out of state, we are happy to mail your checks to you.
• Consignors agree to participate in any promotional sale events.
• Items must be clean and in good repair.
